It communicates our focus on helping to make the world healthier, one life at a time. One way we do that is by encouraging people to spread the word about our products on social media and blogs, so we’ve put together this simple list of Do’s and Don’ts to help make spreading the word as easy as possible. Do • Give your honest opinion about the product(s) you are reviewing. • Include any information you think would be important to someone trying to make a decision to buy or use the product. • Explain and provide details of how you used the product(s). • Clearly and conspicuously disclose any material connection you have with the Vitamin Shoppe. Simply put, if you are just a Vitamin Shoppe fan and you write about us or our products, no need to make a special disclosure. But, if you have an ongoing relationship with the Vitamin Shoppe or we seeded, sponsored or incentivized you (for example, compensation, free or discounted product, gift cards, coupons, etc.), you must let your readers know. You must also let your readers know if you are sharing Vitamin Shoppe related content in order to participate in a contest we are sponsoring. • Make your disclosure simple and easy to understand. Something as simple as “The Vitamin Shoppe gave me [name of product] to try out” will do the trick. Don’t • Say you used a product unless you actually did use it. • Make general claims about a product or recommend it to readers who suffer from any particular condition. • Leave out important qualifying information. For example, if you are satisfied with the results of one of our weight management products that you use as part of an overall strategy involving diet and exercise, make sure to clearly describe your diet and exercise regimen so that readers are not mislead into believing they can achieve similar results by using the product alone. • Mislead readers. Put yourself in the shoes of your readers and if something seems unclear or misleading, clarify it. The Vitamin Shoppe is committed to truthful and accurate representations of our products and we monitor social media related to our business, including the activities of our sponsored, seeded, or incentivized social media practitioners. If we find any statements or claims that are false or misleading, we will ask you to issue a correction. We may also discontinue our relationship with you.
