Publishers Terms that apply to Affiliates who have been approved to bid on search engine traffic: Affiliates must remain below McAfee’s own paid search ad at all times, and may not direct link from search engine marketing campaigns to any McAfee official website. Affiliates may not use any official McAfee domains in their Ad Text, or claim to be McAfee or any of the McAfee official eStores. Affiliates must only use Affiliate Program supplied promotions, discounts and links to promote McAfee through search engine marketing, and may not lift promotions from other sites or directly from any McAfee website, unless approval is obtained from McAfee and the Program Manager. Affiliates operating in the Corporate Branded space (non-discount) e.g. ‘McAfee’ ‘ McAfee Anti-Virus’ ‘McAfee 2019’ may not use discounted terms or promotional text in their ad copy. Affiliates operating in the Coupons and Savings Branded space e.g. ‘McAfee discounts’ ‘McAfee coupons’ ‘McAfee vouchers’ must only advertise discounts and promotions supplied by the McAfee Affiliate Program. Any promotional ad text or campaign deemed to be inaccurate or misleading by McAfee and/or the Program Manager must be removed / updated on request. Not to engage in typo-squatting, or own a typo domain. Domain names must not include or use misspellings of either "McAfee" e.g. www.McAfee.com. Misspellings of domains include those with missing characters, extra characters, wrong character sequences, and where the wrong key is pressed, e.g. www.mcaffe.com etc. Not to own a domain which includes a McAfee trademark or registered trademark. Domains containing the registered trademark "McAfee" are strictly prohibited. Not to use sites under construction, sites that show or cause any type of error, doorway pages, sites or pages with automatic redirects. Not to operate or utilize a website, or email a link to a website, which contains or promotes the following types of content: libelous, defamatory, obscene, abusive, violent, bigoted, hate-related, illegal, cracking, hacking, anti-brand messaging or that offer illegal goods or services. Not to use copycat sites,or use any content or images from any McAfee websites, except for content and images which have been expressly allowed for use by Affiliate partners. The Affiliate may use the links and/or banner ads McAfee provides to Affiliate Partners only in the form in which they are provided. All emails must adhere to the following: Inclusion of McAfee provided Special T&C’s and opt-out verbiage, delivery must be clearly defined as from the publisher and cannot appear to be delivered from McAfee, ie from line cannot contain “McAfee”, publisher must clearly state that the email is from a 3rd party and include its own opt-out links, spam tactics are prohibited, and scare tactics or language that could confuse consumers, including but not limited to “expired” “reactivation” is prohibited. An affiliate may request the full email marketing guidelines from the program manager. Failure to follow the Email Marketing Guidelines can result in commission reversal and termination from the Program.
